Richard Castillo, President of ShadowGuard International, Inc.
Richard Castillo has been a licensed Private Investigator in Florida since 1999. Prior to obtaining his agency, he worked for
several private investigation firms, gaining experience in numerous fields including but not limited to general investigations,
surveillance operations, criminal defense predominantly 1st degree murder (death penalty/sentence mitigation) cases and post-conviction appeals,
records research, asset search and insurance fraud. He has also worked
for several years as an Investigator for the
11th Judicial Public Defender office in Miami-Dade County assigned to the Felony Investigations Unit.
In 1999, Richard Castillo received the State of Florida, Public Defender Sleuth Award for leading by example and performing in an exemplary manner as an investigator. He accomplished this award by successfully completing several
State Certified courses in Investigations under the leadership of Brandon
A. Perron (licensed private investigator and P.I. Magazine’s top 10) and sponsored by Diamond Litty, the 19th Judicial Circuit Office of the
Public Defender, State of Florida at the Criminal Justice Training Institute in
Fort Pierce, Florida.
These courses included but was not limited to criminal defense investigations, surveillance operations and injury/death investigations. He developed practical experience and training
in accordance with standard and accepted investigation procedures.
Richard Castillo doesn't just specialize in investigations, he is also a security consultant. in 1999, he successfully accomplished an Executive
Protection program under the leadership of Robert E. Foti (Multi-national security
consultant, detail protective team leader both domestic and foreign, advisor to
domestic and foreign military police units, counter-insurgency specialist,
certified firearms instructor and Director of Training G. Gordon Liddy Academy)
and Walter F. Philbrick (Certified police officer for over 18 years, SWAT team
leader and training coordinator, vice and narcotics supervisor, tactical
operations supervisor, martial arts background). Mr. Castillo learned the techniques for protecting Celebrities, International
Dignitaries and VIP’s. he acquired the
bodyguard basic tactics and techniques on being a professional and how to
properly protect their principle. This program was instructed by Executive Protection Experts,
International Bodyguards and current SWAT team Police Officers.
Although Richard Castillo specializes in certain fields, he is well
trained in all phases of investigation and security. He has successfully performed security consultations and investigations for individual clients as well as major companies and
corporations. Discretion, sophistication and tenacity are the words by
which he is known within the private investigation industry.
